2. RXi Overview
Originally developed by Assets team as Report eXchange in Beta with Release 10.7
ADI team integrated Report eXchange with the new Request Center in ADI 4.0
Customize content and format of RXi reports
Called Variable Format Reports in ADI
Only selected reports are RXi reports
Ability to print same report with multiple layouts

3. RXi Designer
Report Exchange Designer - responsibility used to design and manage RXi reports
Attribute Sets control the data elements and formatting of RXi reports
Do not modify Default attribute sets

4. RXi Designer Copy and rename attribute sets
Add and/or remove columns from attribute sets
Define page setup, column formatting and summary columns

5. RXi Designer Page Setup
Change the report title and page sizing
Mark the report headings to appear on the report
Page width is required, otherwise report prints as one long line without wrapping

6. RXi Designer Column Details
Control formatting for each column
Change column heading under attribute name
Change displayed width, very nice for the Accounting Flexfield
Descriptive flexfields not available

Define columns as summary columns
Control what summary columns to display
Change Prompt to alter printed summary title

9. Submitting RX-only Reports
RX-only reports do not generate output
RX-only reports only extract data to interface table
Run Publish RX Reports concurrent program with varying attribute sets to produce reports
Output generated based on attribute set definition

10. RXi Concurrent Programs in GL
Only a few GL reports are RX reports
Rxi reports available in other applications

11. Submitting RXi Reports
Parameter window above displays when running Publish Journals - General report
Notice parameter for attribute set
Output formats (csv, html, tab, text)
Submits two concurrent requests
Rx-only: Journals General to extract date to interface table
Publish Journals – General to format and publish report

12. RXi Gotcha
Make sure the Accounting Flexfield qualifier for the Cost Center is enabled for a segment

13. RXi Sample Output
Output shows the columns of data from custom GL Journals attribute set
Last Update User Name changed to protect the innocent

14. RXi Security Choose Security from the Tools menu in the Designer
Select the report and attribute set to secure
Enter responsibilities allowed to use this attribute set

15. RXi Maintenance Choose Columns from the Tools menu in the Designer
Check the box to enable or disable a column from appearing in the attribute set
Columns listed match columns in the interface table

16. RXi Maintenance Run the purge program to remove RX interface data
Data for all reports purge if report name is null
Setup the purge program on a recurring schedule

17. ADI Variable Format Reports
Select an attribute set and output type similar to submitting the Publish concurrent request in the Apps
