5. Chlamydia Transmission –Oral sex –Anal sex –Vaginal sex Symptoms –“silent disease” –Often no symptoms –Women- vaginal discharge, burning sensation when urinating

6. Chlamydia Treatment –Antibiotics –All sex partners should be tested and treated –Abstain from sex during treatment –Re-test three months after treatment

7. Chlamydia Prevention –Abstinence –Monogamous relationship with a partner who has been tested and is known to be uninfected –Make sure partner is tested –Condoms

9. Gonorrhea Transmission –Contact with the penis, vagina, mouth or anus Symptoms –May not have symptoms (asymptomatic) –Burning while urinating, white, yellow, or green discharge, painful or swollen testicles

17. Herpes Transmission –Occurs during sexual contact –Oral - genital contact, or genital - genital contact –Can be transmitted by contact with or without a sore Symptoms –Outbreak, flu-like symptoms, recurrent painful genital sores

18. Herpes Treatment –No treatment that can cure herpes –Antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks
