Prenatal Development The process to which a baby-to-be can grow inside of the mother and takes nine months for a full-term pregnancy to be a fully completion.

Trimesters Trimesters are timeline of pregnancy that can be divided into three parts and as each part is the time of growth and development.

First Trimester The first trimester goes to the first three months of pregnancy and begins with the conception as soon as the ovum or egg is fertilized by the sperm.

Second Trimester In the second trimester the fourth, fifth, and sixth months of pregnancy begins then the fetus grows dramatically.

Third Trimester Once the third trimester carries the seventh, eighth, and ninth months of pregnancy the brain and other parts of the nervous system continue to develop.

Miscarriage/ Stillbirth Miscarriage are spontaneous losses of pregnancy no less than 20 weeks of fetal development.

Rh factors Rh factors are proteins that are found in the blood of some people, to see if the person blood type is either positive or negative.

Preeclampsia Preeclampsia is a disorder that involves high blood pressure, protein, and fluid retention. It’s dangerous because it can keep the placenta from receiving enough blood.

Weight Gain When the woman is pregnant, she begins to gain weight, this happen during the first and second trimesters. The woman then gain weight between 25-35 pounds.

Exercise Pregnant women should exercise, exercise can boost up energy, combating the fatigue. Exercise can reduce stress and help relieve many discomforts of pregnancy.

Healthy Foods During pregnancy the woman must eat healthy foods for her and the baby. The main nutrients for the woman is carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water.
