11. Then she is hired at a restaurant and the other waitresses and cooks try to be-friend her

13. Next she realizes she has a neighbor and starts to become friends with her

15. Jo is a therapist so she tends to ask a lot of questions and seems to get into everyone else's business.

17. She starts to get Katie to talk to more people and be more social

18. Then Katie meets Alex

20. He is a single father to two kids, Kristen and Josh, and owns an old-fashioned country store

21. Katie goes to the store every day to get food for dinner.

22. After a while of shopping there, she becomes close with Alex’s daughter Kristen

24. Then one day while Alex was ringing her up at the counter, Katie noticed his son almost drowning in the water outside

25. When Alex runs to save his son, Kristen was clinging onto Katie and relying on her as a child would to their mother

26. Alex then started to grow feelings for Katie

28. One day he finally gets up the courage to ask her out

29. Their relationship grew stronger every day but Katie was always scared of one thing…

30. That her husband would find her and take her back to Boston

31. Katie tries to forget about it all to stay with Alex and keep a stable relationship with him

32. When all things are going well

33. Kevin, Katie’s husband, drove for hours trying to find her

34. He found out that she is in a relationship

35. He has been drinking all night so his anger intensified the more he drank

36. Kevin finds the store that Alex owns and realizes his house is above the store

37. He figured Katie was with Alex and he grew very jealous

38. Out of anger, Kevin lit the store on fire

39. The flames grew larger by the minute

40. Katie woke up to the smell of the fire downstairs and ran to wake up Josh and Kristen

41. She rushed out the window with the kids in her arms

42. When she tried to stand up and get off the ground she noticed Kevin standing above her with a gun pointing at her

43. Katie told the kids to run and find a place to hide while she tried her hardest to save her life along with Josh and Kristen’s

44. Alex found his kids running down the side of the road and brought them to Katie’s house

45. When he arrived to his store, Kevin had disappeared

46. Alex found Katie and brought her back to her house

47. When they walked inside the house they found Kristen and Josh and all hugged in relief

48. Then Kevin appeared in the doorway and swung a crowbar at Alex and he collapsed in pain

49. Katie stood up, infuriated with Kevin

50. She took the gun she had found earlier and pointed it at him, pushing him out the doorway and tripping off the porch

51. She started screaming at him for the way he treated her and for tracking her down and told him she would never go back with him

52. Kevin tried to stand up and take the gun from her, but instead of grabbing the gun he pulled the trigger and it shot him

53. Katie and Alex ended up in the hospital

54. After hours of being in the hospital, they were all happy to find out everyone was okay

55. Even though Katie’s past made her fearful for her future, she moved on.

56. From there her life got her life got a lot better

57. No matter how hard it gets, you need to accept the past and move on with the rest of your life.
