1 Building a Robot Exploring Computer Science Lesson 6-4

2 Teams (Block 3) We only have 12 robots. The robots are to stay in their current location. You may have to move! There can be no more than 3 people to a group. If there are 4 of you, you need to split into 2 teams. Ideally we should 8 groups of 2 and 4 groups of 3. Groups of 3 should sit at a table with just one robot.

3 Teams (Block 5) We only have 12 robots. The robots are to stay in their current location. You may have to move! There can be no more than 3 people to a group. If there are 4 of you, you need to split into 2 teams. Ideally we should 11 groups of 2 and 1 groups of 3. Groups of 3 should sit at a table with just one robot.

4 Teams (Block 7) We only have 12 robots. The robots are to stay in their current location. You may have to move! There can be no more than 3 people to a group. If there are 4 of you, you need to split into 2 teams. Ideally we should 9 groups of 2 and 3 groups of 3. Groups of 3 should sit at a table with just one robot.

5 Robots These are not my robots! DePaul University was kind enough to loan these to us. I need to return all they parts to DePaul. If you lose or break a part you will be charged to replace it. Keep the parts separated by robot. Put them on the floor before you issue a command to move!

6 Objectives Students will be able to Assemble the base of the robot.

7 Today You (and the others using that robot) and going to assemble the base of the robot. The instructions are on pages 8-22 in the book. Either start on page 8 or pick up where the previous team left off (see their note they left for you) Once constructed you can run the basic program on page 23. Make sure your robot is on the ground!
