2.  Trim Castle  Trim Castle is with its area of 30 000m2 the biggest Norman castle which can be found in Ireland. It was a center of Norman administration for the Lordship of Meath in period of King Henry II of England, built on raised ground and overlooking a fording point on the River Boyne.

4.  Leinster House  Leinster House is the seat of the Oireachtas, the parliament of Ireland. It was built in 1748 by architect Richard Cassels for James FitzGerald, Earl of Kildare and is famous for being an inspiration for exterior design of White House in Washington D.C.

5.  Christ Church Cathedral  Christ Church Cathedral was founded in 1030 A.D. and is dedicated to Holy Trinity. Originaly medieval building was rebuilt in Victorian times and is standing above cathedral crypt which is with its length of 63,4m the longest cathedral crypt in British Isles.

7.  Trinity College  Trinity College was founded in 1592 and is the oldest university in Ireland. It is divided into three faculties and in 2014 was ranked as the 71th best university in the world by QS World University Rankings and is generaly considered to be the best university in Ireland.

9.  Newgrange  Newgrange was built during the Neolithic period around 3000 BC to 2500 BC, so its even older than both Stonehenge or Egyptian pyramids, consists of a large circular mound with a stone passageway and interior chambers. Much like Stonehenge, we don't really know for sure what was its purpose.

11.  Charles' Fort  Charles' Fort in Kinsale is star-shaped fort built in 1670s and was named after Charles II. It was designed to resist cannon shots and to protect nearby Kinsale harbour and served British Army as barracks for over 200 years.
