Library Technicians (LTs) “ There is a clear middle area in library work between the professional and support levels which technicians will fill more capably than any makeshift category of graduate clerks or semi- trained clerical assistants. If we want to offer the best service possible to our clients and to optimise the effectiveness of a limited number of staff positions then technicians provide a significant part of the answer.” (Brudenall,1979, p.166)
