WHAT TO DO WITH A SPITE FENCE…
4
“Now…we “…regard no one “…from a worldly point of view [as discarded, as junk]… [for]…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation -- the old has gone, the new has come. All this is from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…” (2 Corinthians 5:16-17).
5
Reconciliation “…is the central experience and doctrine of the Christian faith.” Myron Augsburger
6
“…the wolf [lives] with the lamb -- the leopard [lies] down with the goat…[and the] cow [feeds] with the bear…[as] the Root of Jesse -- [Jesus]…” (Isaiah 11:66-7; 10)
7
Recognize: Christ Himself, Is The Required ‘Glue.’
8
For “[Christ] himself is our peace, who [makes] the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.” (Ephesians 2:14). For Christ is “…the firstborn over all creation…” Paul goes on to declare in Colossians 1, “[Thus Christ] is before all things and in him all things hold together…” (Colossians 1:15; 17).
10
Get Rid Of Bitter Memory and Emotion.
11
“…get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger; brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. [Instead, Paul admonishes] be kind and compassionate to each other, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you…” (Ephesians 4:31-32)
13
“…Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him – [and then] he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept…” (Genesis 33:4)
15
For in the spirit of 1 John 4:19 – we love, we forgive, because God first loved and forgave us!
16
Dare To Be ‘Shalom People.’
17
“…the wolf [lives] with the lamb… [and the] cow [feeds] with the bear… (Isaiah 11:66-7).
18
“…are no longer foreigners and aliens, but…members of God’s household….with Christ Jesus…as the chief cornerstone… [joining together]… [raising up everyone, to be] a holy temple in [Him]…” (Ephesians 2:19-21).
19
Literally the word shalom means: to be complete, perfect, full. Why it’s ultimate reconciliation, marked by soundness, harmony and rest.
20
But in the spirit of Romans 12:18 – “if it is possible, as far as it depends on [us], live at peace [in shalom] with everyone…Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good!” (Romans 12:18; 21)
22
“Now…we “…regard no one “…from a worldly point of view [as discarded, as junk]… [for]…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation -- the old has gone, the new has come. All this is from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…” (2 Corinthians 5:16-17)
23
For, we “…are no longer foreigners and aliens, but…members of God’s household….w ith Christ Jesus…as the chief cornerstone… [joining together]… [raising up, everyone, to be] a holy temple in the [Him]…” (Ephesians 2:19-21)
