The Transmitter & Elastic Strap Adjust the strap. Fully stretched, the strap should go around your back and to the front Wet the electrodes on the transmitter Connect strap to the transmitter

Put monitor on wrist. Press on the red button one time. The monitor is on “Standby” as it is looking for your pulse. Press the red button again once your pulse is found. Your monitor should have the Target Zone (TZ) time on top, the stop watch in the middle, and your pulse on the buttom. The monitor will now keep track of your time in your “TZ”. If you press the red button throughout your workout, it will keep track of your laps. You will need 15 – 20 minutes in your TZ. Check with your teacher. Press the blue button when you workout is done until you get to the time of day.

C h e c k Y o u r W o r k o u t ! Press the upper right button. “File” will appear. Press the red button one time. An F1, F2, F3, or etc… will appear. The first one that appears is your file. Press the red button again. The time you were in your zone and average HR will appear. With each press of the upper right button, further data will be displayed. To return to the Time of Day, press and hold the blue button.

Classroom Management oEveryone will be assigned a number for the transmitter and watch. oThe elastic straps come in extra small, small, medium, and large. oGet your equipment from one of the Classroom Management Bags. Don’t forget to wet the electrodes on the transmitter.

If you can’t get your watch to work, try this: Tighten strap. Rewet electrodes on transmitter. Get help from teacher or classmate. Read charts.

The information in the Heart Rate Monitors will be downloaded into the computer with the razor. Information from the Heart Rate Monitors will be put on a “Classroom Summary Chart” and can be seen by students weekly. Information can also be put on an “Individual Summary Chart” if requested by the student or parent. Students will need to workout in their “Target Zone” (130-180) for 15 – 20 minutes daily to get a good grade. Attendance, dressing out, and behavior will also have an effect on your grade.
