The following two quotes summarize the intention of everything stated in this Instructive: 1. “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5) 2. It is essential to labor with order, following an organized plan and a definite object. (Evangelism, p. 93)

Theorist of management as a science explains that to manage is a process that consists of four steps that should be taken in the following order: Organize, plan, implement and evaluate. This Instructive is a result of the first two steps. The phase of idea organization, resources, order of procedures, has already been fulfilled. Also the time involved to do it has ended. Then comes the planning process, in which strategies were developed and roles were defined to propose an action plan with the well-defined objectives which are being sought. The time for this phase has also ended. It is now time for the third step: Implement what was planned.

“Plans well thought out: pure gain! Hasty plans: pure failure! If we notice in the first statement, when planning it should not be done in haste. If it is done, failure is guaranteed by the “thus saith the Lord”, for it is He who in His Word says that “Hasty plans: pure failure! In no secular business does hasty plans function. We cannot pretend that they will function believing that the Holy Spirit will support them. Nothing like that. The Holy Spirit has already said that they will lead to failure. On the contrary is said in regard to “Plans well thought out: pure gain!

“It is essential to labor with order, following an organized plan and a definite object: Let us note in this statement the reference that is make to do work in an orderly fashion If the order to follow in management is to first organize, then plan, then implement and finally evaluate, then we must follow this order in managing God’s work. But let’s also note in the statement the reference that is made to the organization of the plan, that is to say, to the first two steps of the management process, and within the planning it is established that there must be a well- defined objective. Exactly as recommended by management theorists, who say that the objective sought should be formulated in the planning phase.

Now, let us take into account that management as a science emerged in the 20th century. Before formulating its principles the inspiration of the Holy Spirit had already indicated in the Bible and in the Spirit of Prophecy how to manage this spiritual enterprise called church, with the purpose of reaching the objective of proclaiming the message of the soon return of Jesus. Therefore, we only need to follow the advise given by divine inspiration and growth will come as a natural result of His blessing.

So now the challenge that we have is implementing what has been planned. Notice that even the time factor has been considered in the planning, indicating the months necessary to implement the first two phases of the CGP. This means that if we implement the plan contained in this Instructive, inevitably the results will come; guaranteed by another “thus saith the Lord.” It is He and not us who guarantees that when the plans have been well thought out, only gains await this spiritual enterprise to which we belong. It is like any machine that comes with its Instruction Manual. If the instructions are followed, the machine will work efficiently.

All the time that it takes to plan is not a loss or a failure, it is pure gain. Mark Twain, the famous American writer says: “Plan for the future because that is where you are going to spend the rest of your life.” At this point of our insturctive, planning is something of the past.. The present was the future, at the moment when the plans were presented were being made, but now it is the present, the time in which, with the Lord’s blessing, we will implement the task. This is where we want to spend the rest of our lives, in a continuous present in which we live making the commission grow that the Lord has entrusted to us. So be it. Amen!
