2. Two stages 1. Transcription – RNA synthesis – mRNA is made using DNA as a template – mRNA leaves nucleus and floats out to cytoplasm to find a ribosome 2. Translation – Protein synthesis – mRNA  tRNA  protein – tRNA carries amino acids to the mRNA and drops them off – AA’s are attached to each other with peptide bond
