Edge Base Vertice Face Three-Dimensional Figures A geometric figure with three dimensions is called a solid figure. Three-dimensional figures include prisms and pyramids as well as figures with curved surfaces. Three-dimensional figures can be classified based on information about their faces, bases, edges, and vertices. Prisms A prism is a three-dimensional figure with two parallel, congruent polygon bases. The bases, which are also two of the faces, can be any polygon. The other faces are rectangles. A prism is named according to the shape of its bases.
