Blue is a musical genre that was originated in African- American communities around the 19 th Century. Blues songs express the unhappy things in the Black American lives. The Genre is deprived from European peoples music, spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants e.t.c. The blues form, present in jazz, rhythm and blues rock and roll, is characterized by the call-and-response pattern and specific chord progression, of which the twelve bar blues is the most common. Blues music was Very Very popular.

Appregio / Broken Chords. Each note is played after each other. The 12-bar blues is one of the most famous chord progressions in popular music. Albert Nelson was Born in Indianola, Mississippi on April 25, 1923. He learned to play the guitar on a homemade instrument, a cigar box with strings put on, he also played a one-string barn door guitar in his early days Riley B. King was born on September 16, 1925. He’s known by the stage name B.B. King. He is an American blues musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist.

In the 18 th Century at least 6 millions Africans were taken to America as slaves in the British Boat. The Journey on the boat was very long and we know the journey as ‘the triangular trade’. Key Notes : 1.Goods such as gun and brandy were taken to Africa in exchange for slaves. 2. They took the slaves across the Atlantic to sell in the west Indies and North America(This was the Middle Passage). 3. Finally the British took a cargo of rum and sugar back to England to sell.
