THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM Carried out in 70 A.D. by Titus, son of the Emperor Vespasian The Roman army laid siege to the city for seven months – Luke 21:20-24 Hundreds of thousands killed and captured, the temple burned Making clear that the old had been done away with – Heb. 9:11-14, 2 Cor. 5:1-5

4. THE COMING OF CHRIST Was not prophesied in such a manner – Matt. 24:36-44 Only God the Father knows! Some things had to have taken place first – 2 Thess. 2:1-4 Apostasy took hold even before the first century was over!

5. CONCLUSION Jesus’ disciples asked for signs as to when the destruction would happen. He told them and we clearly see He spoke the truth. But as terrible as the fall of Jerusalem was, it is nothing compared to this world’s end! Will you be prepared when Christ comes in His glory? It could be at any moment; do not be foolish, and be saved at once!
