2. Data = Observations & Measurements Data is a group of related measurements or observations that can be used to support or refute a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a possible explanation of some behavior or phenomenon.

3. Graphs Represent Data Visually Graphs are a way to show data to someone else in a way that is more meaningful than a table or chart. Graphs make it much easier to identify trends in data.

4. Question: Does Increased Light Cause More Photosynthesis? Photosynthesis is the process plants and some other organisms use to capture the energy of sunlight and use it to grow. Photosynthesis produces oxygen gas. Hypothesis: Since photosynthesis requires light, more light will allow more photosynthesis to happen. Since photosynthesis also produces oxygen gas, we will see more bubbles if we shine more light on an underwater plant. If there’s more bubbles when there’s more light, then we have support for our hypothesis!
