2. The Tower of David Museum Jerusalem

3. This is the medieval citadel, known as the Tower of David, near the Jaffa Gate, the historic entrance to the Old City.

23. מרד בר-כוכבא The Bar Kochba revolt (132 to 135 CE) was one of the failed attempts to restore Jewish sovereignty in Jerusalem after the destruction of the Second Temple (70 CE).

24. From their hiding places in the Judean caves, Bar Kochba’s people took existing Roman coins and engraved them with the façade of the Temple and the inscription “Jerusalem”.
