Vocabulary Two-Step Equation: equation with two terms in one expression and one term in the other Solution: the value that makes both sides of an equation equal

Process Use inverse operations to work backwards until the variable is alone on one side Be fair and balanced! When multiplying/dividing, you must do so to the entire expression on each side
