GEAR UP Alliance 2011 Institute for a College-Going Culture: Drive the dream Gear Up Facts Provides low income students with greater access to postsecondary education Serves an entire cohort of students from 7 th through 12 th grade Funding based on number of students Seven Project Associates across the state and numerous site coordinators in the schools College Coaches-added support to Gear Up Kentucky program this year

Professional staff development opportunities that are content specific and promote higher level thinking skills and problem solving Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, etc.
