Objectives (2014/15) To unite Taiwanese students as a family To provide a platform for Taiwanese students to interact, share information and help each other To popularise the awareness of Taiwan

Categories Society Member of the Year Best New Society Award Most Improved Society Society of the Year Society Signatory of the Year

Society Member of the Year Awarded to any (non-signatory) elected person OR member involved in society who has demonstrated qualities such as excellent teamwork and communications skills and going out of their way to develop the activities of the society. Any signatories nominated for this award will automatically be removed from this category and added to the Society Signatory of the Year category

Best New Society Award Nominations to come from any society that has been set-up since October 2014. Awarded to a society who has stood out compared to others in the same category made an impact since becoming a society through connecting or reaching out to others, informing others about differences in culture, interest or activities, and getting others involved. Successful/innovative events also taken into account as well as the quality of the organisation of the committee and teamwork in the society.

Most Improved Society Awarded to a society who has developed dramatically since this time last year, attracting new members through new activities and increasing awareness of their group.

Society of the Year Winner will be taken from the following categories: o International o Special Interest o Faith & Religious o Arts o Departmental o Political & Campaign o Student Run/Student Support Service Nominations including examples of the society standing out compared to others in the same category. Examples of society connecting or reaching out to others, informing others about different in culture, interest or activities and getting others involved. Successful/innovative events also taken into account as well as the quality of the organisation of the committee and teamwork in the society.

Society Signatory of the Year Awarded to a society signatory who demonstrated outstanding qualities such as excellent leadership, examples of activities beyond the normal call of duty, conflict resolution skills, examples of leading the society to connect with others outside of the society either in the community or on campus.

Instructions You can nominate anyone in the room, including yourself To stand for a signatory committee position you need 1 additional student to nominate yourself

President Responsible for all the behaviour based on the society Hold Annual General Meeting (AGM) Read and reply society email

Vice President Support the president on leading the society Take the responsibilities when the president is absent Attend all meeting including AGM

Secretary Support president and vice president Organise promotions of events on all social media Arrange meetings and room books Create an agenda

Treasurer Keep track of all income/expenditure Apply for budget from the Student Union Keep all the committees informed about the society financial situation Organise sponsorship/fundraising

Event Organiser Organise events Delegate tasks to members and ensure the events run properly
