7. Albert Growing Up O Albert was born in the Dominican Republic in 1980 and was raised primarily by his grandmother. O His family was very poor and they lived communally, like a big camp site. O Albert was a very happy child that loved baseball. O He came to the United States when he was 16 yrs. old. O He attended Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City. O In 2000, he married his wife, Deidra, and has four children. O He began to play for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2001.

8. Albert and Kindness O In 2005, Albert formed the Pujols Family Foundation. O The foundation provides programming for persons with Down Syndrome as well as community awareness. O The Foundation provides outreach programs that target the poor people living in the Dominican Republic such as medical care and beds.

10. Here’s your chance! In celebration of World Kindness Week, CFA students will be collecting non-perishable food items or canned goods to help support Forest Manor Multi Service Center’s Food Pantry during the week of November 14 th to 18 th. If we as a school collect 2,000 canned foods, Mrs. Herron and Dr. Schlegel will color their hair BLUE for school on Nov. 21 st. That is a little over four cans per student. Forest Manor could really use the following items: peanut butter, beans, macaroni and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, and canned veggies.

11. How long would it take to do one million acts of kindness? O It would take 50 acts of kindness per day……. O For 55 years…… O Equals One Million Acts of Kindness O “Kindness starts with me”
