STANDARDS FROM THE FIELD OF basic knowledge and skills, social skills, trained in lifelong learning, active citizenship

PARTICIPANTS persons with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities visual, hearing and movement impairments characteristics – psychological, learning when getting older they care less about novelties they do not participate in other forms of education

THE TEACHER IN UŽU-MK experience ability to adapt to the participants and their abilities trust, respect inclusion in the activities of the group flexibility

CONSIDER the use of appropriate forms and contents of work repetition in strengthening of knowledge and skills Enabling the participants to be active training for the transfer into their life

CONTENTS the needs of the person with intellectual disabilities are the basis the themes that are close to him or her are the basis the contents are to be tied to the environmental influences learning must be conducted on a concrete level the level of observation ability must be considered

METHODES Integral method of education intertwines physical, experiential, mental and social activities. direct experience, creative problem solving, communication, cooperation and self-affirmation.

MULTISENSORY APPROACH We try to reach the goal using all the senses improving the efficiency of learning.

FINDINGS the programme is adequate also for the persons with moderate disabilities if we find specific wishes or capabilities of a person we suggest him or her the activities that are covered in other programmes we prepare new programmes
