2. Reb Zundel of Salant was once being driven in a horse drawn cart. When they came to a field of hay, the driver stopped and said to R’ Zundel:

3. “Will you please keep watch for me that no one sees while I get hay for my horse?” Reb Zundel remained silent.

4. The driver got off the cart. As he bent down to steal some hay, R’ Zundel called out:

5. The driver immediately dropped the hay, ran back to the cart, and jumped onto the seat. In no time at all, he had the horse galloping away at full speed.

6. As he drove away he turned around, but there was not a soul in sight.

7. “You lied to me” he said angrily " חס ושלום " said Reb Zundel. “I told you the truth, that someone was watching!” “Who?” asked the driver. “I didn’t see a soul.”

8. “Up there” replied Reb Zundel, pointing to the heavens.

9. And so with us, Hashem is there and everywhere, ALWAYS watching and listening
