2 minute edit – 5 minutes Multiple meanings Some words have more than one meaning. You can use clues in the sentence to tell which meaning the word has. (use context clues) EXAMPLE: produce Meaning A: fresh fruit and vegetables. We bought produce at the market. Meaning B: to bring forth. We watched the magician produce a rabbit out of thin air!
