The purpose of the required study hall is to provide students with time during the school day to complete homework, study for tests, or just finish assignments. It also provides an avenue for activities such as surveys and other school-related paperwork to be completed without using instructional time.

1. Be in seats by tardy bell. 2. Come with necessary materials ready to utilize the period. 3. Respect yourself, all others, and your surroundings. 4. No outside food or drink (except bottled water). 5. No music devices or electronic entertainment of any kind.

1. Students can only change study hall groups by a teacher or administrative request. 2. To leave the study hall, you must be wearing your ID appropriately.

3. Students wishing to go to another teacher or destination MUST have the appropriate pass from the requesting teacher or staff member. 4. A limited number of students may be out of the study hall at any one time and will have a strict time limit.

5. Attendance must be taken prior to any student asking to leave study hall. 6. Talking will be limited to cooperative learning groups with the permission of the teacher.

7. Students should bring enough work from other classes, as well as other materials, to stay busy the majority of the period. If you have nothing to do, I will give you something to do.

1. Be in your assigned seat and ready to begin work by the tardy bell. 2. Begin working immediately after the tardy bell (or watch Ch. 1 quietly). 3. Any student out on a pass during Study Hall must return before the end of the class unless otherwise specified on a pass from a teacher.

If you choose to break one of the above rules or procedures: 1 st offense: Verbal Warning/Loss of privileges 2 nd offense: Detention and/or isolation within classroom 3 rd offense: Referral written and student sent to dean

If you finish ALL of your work and have absolutely NOTHING to do: Bring something to read everyday You may leave it in the room Bring books/magazines you have read to share Check out a library book STUDY! Get ahead! Write, draw, doodle…anything SILENT
