Facts for November Book Week Scotland Monday 24 – Sunday 30 November 2014 Book Week Scotland is a week-long celebration of books and reading that takes place every November. This year organisers, the Scottish Book Trust, are searching for the favourite character from a Scottish book and you can vote on line. Our P1s will each receive a Bookbug P1 Family Pack with 3 books in it (all shortlisted for the Scottish Children Book Awards.

Eco Club Today is the start of Switch Off Fortnight. During these two weeks we would like everyone to make a big effort to ‘Switch Off When Not in Use’ Can someone in each class be nominated to take on the job of helping to ‘Switch Off When Not in Use’ Thank you – we can make a big difference together!

Scrap Store Thank you to all P4 – 7 children who continue to help tidy up. We would like the P1 – 3 children to be involved with tidy up too. 5 Minutes before the end of break they will hear a bell, this indicates its time to start tidying up. Thank you Games Parliament This week Games Parliament are doing a playground survey for P1 – 7 children. Please think about the playground and any new ideas you may have. Thank you.

‘BeSeen Billy and Bright Betty’ BeSeen Billy and Bright Betty are encouraging the Primary 1 & 2 children to wear their reflective jackets. The Primary 1 and Primary 2 class with the highest proportion of children wearing their jackets will get to look after Billy or Betty for the day.

Well done to…………… Erica, Sian and Josie for their performance for Papdale’s Got Talent Shannon and Charlotte who came and told us about their Chanter Lessons They are held here in the Infant Hall on Mondays 6.30 – 7pm.

Luke, Calvin and Kiera for taking part in the St Magnus Badminton Competition on Saturday at the Picky Centre Well Done to…………. Liam, Ewan, Calvin and Andrew who all took part in a Boys Brigade Football Competition which they came 3 rd place in.

Well Done to …………. Erland who completed his 25m at his swimming classes. Connor, Freya and Michael who all passed their Karate grading and moved up a grade.
