4 Final Guiding Question… What is bullying? A person is bullied when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons, and he or she has difficulty defending himself or herself. Another way to define bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself.

5 What can we do to stop bullying in our school? Tell a teacher or other adult at school if you know someone is being bullied. MMS participates in the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, designed to reduce the number and frequency of students being bullied in our school.
