Only countries in South America or Europe have won the World Cup e.g. Brazil have won 5 times and Italy have won 4 times. The pattern shows that more wealthy countries have hosted the world cup than non wealthy countries. 14/22 hosts between 1930- 2022 would be considered wealthy countries.
