2. What does salvation from sin mean? Salvation from sin only means that we are saved from the penalty of sin (Romans 3:23) Salvation is eternal and is offered to those who receive Jesus Christ (John 3:16) Salvation does not mean that we are freed from the presence of sin and the power of sin (Romans 7).

3. What did Jesus accomplish with His Work on the cross? Jesus is the propitiation (“satisfaction”) to God for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Jesus died as our substitute on the cross as a spotless Lamb of God. After Jesus died, the veil in the temple was torn in half so that we can now go into the Holy of Holies ourselves with a High Priest representing us - Jesus Christ

Things We Receive at Salvation–The Father 1.Loved of God (1 John 3:1; John 14:21; Eph 2:4) as shown at salvation. 2.A mansion (Hebrew “mone” which means “abode”) in heaven in the Father’s House is waiting for us (John 14:2). 3.Become sons of God (John 1:12, 1 John 3:1-2, Rev. 21:7) 4.Become children of God (Gal. 3:25) 5.Made heirs (receiving by divine appointment) of God and joint- heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17)
