Pink dolphin Facts Social Habits and behaviour of Pink Dolphins Pink dolphins are usually found alone or in couples unlike their oceanic cousins. They don’t have much predators near where the live so they don’t have to live in pods or go hunting together. Pink dolphins usually spilt up when they go hunting because they would start to fight for the same food if they travelled in pods to hunt.

Who has damaged or destroyed the environment? Over the past twenty years Pink dolphins are decreasing in population because: 1.They are accidentally caught on fishing nets 2.Habitat Destruction 3.Mercury poisoning 4.Pollution 5.Boat traffic 6.Dam projects
4
Where is their natural habitat? Pink dolphins are mostly found in the Amazon rainforest but there have been some sightings near Hong Kong, Vietnam and Taiwan Approximately there are estimated to be around 120 dolphins near Hong Kong
5
What do they eat? Pink dolphins usually eat crabs, catfish, small river fish and even small turtles. These types of prey can be found near the bottom of the river or stretch of water these dolphins live in.
6
Why do we need to save them? We need to stop cutting down trees, building dams, and polluting the waters of the pink river dolphin because they are a one of a kind species and are very special in this world. Just like other endangered species these dolphins should be protected too. If we don’t protect them, one of the most unknown species of wild life will be removed from earth and we wouldn’t have known a lot about them.
