STABLE Kick-off meeting Torino – October 25 th - 26 th,2012 Workplan - tasks T5.1: Assembling obtained materials into a complete cell (M6-M32) CEGASA (14PM) T5.2: Analysis of the performance impact of different assembly techniques with different electrolytes (M6-M32) CEG (8PM) UCC (5PM) Development of full cell from coin-type to pouch-type Li-air concept cell operated in ambient conditions Transfer data/samples from WP1-WP2-WP3 @M6: - Candidate materials (substrates, electrolyte, membrane) - Preparation procedures of the lithium and catalytic air electrodes) Note: slurry development needs > 100g active material

STABLE Kick-off meeting Torino – October 25 th - 26 th,2012 Workplan T5.3: Characterization and evaluation of the performance of the cells assembled (M6-M32) ELAPHE (22 PM), UCC (10PM), CEG (8PM) Define electrochemical testing program and parameters (current rates, DoD,…) comparability of results for different cell types Start @ M6 with compilation of existing and proposed testing programs: - Applicable International Standards - Internal know-how of partners – Modelling inputs Receive @ M6 first samples for: - Electrochemical testing (charge/discharge…) - In-situ mechanical & optical tests - Electrical connections, internal resistance - Post mortem surface morphology & phase identification (previous cycling needed)

STABLE Kick-off meeting Torino – October 25 th - 26 th,2012 Tentative timeline 1 st year Proposal for: @ M6 Set-up exchange of data/samples with WP1, WP2 & WP3 for first candidate materials Start compilation of existing testing protocols/parameters (take into account WP4 simulation/modelling needs) Prepare list of techniques and equipment/resources brought into STABLE for electrochemical testing and advanced characterization help in definition on testing program before M12 Identify requirements to focus development of full Li-air cell (inputs from Elaphe on different vehicle applications vs. materials development)
