29 Main Points Premature Birth –should be of concern to Chickasaw County –The difference in rates between the state and county have  over time –Chickasaw County’s rates of premature birth have  to match Mississippi’s rates Heart Disease –Rates are high and are of major concern especially among the older population –But, rates for both Mississippi and Chickasaw County have  over the past 5 years

30 Main Points Malignant Neoplasm (Cancer) –A disparity exists between the white and black population in Chickasaw County, which is also representative of the state of Mississippi
