PRODUCTIVITY PRODUCTIVITY To improve development productivity To reduce manual handling To improve section support process requirements To eliminate potential Longwall outage due to lack of continuity or shortened blocks SAFETY SAFETY To reduce injuries via manual handling To reduce injuries through section congestion To improve general section standards and subsequent improvement in morale. To improve ventilation due to dedicated vent lines. OVERALL COST BENEFITS OVERALL COST BENEFITS Improved productivity at face and support process Overall better allocation of panel manning ie road cleaning etc. Safety-related savings Reduction in materials repair/replacement

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA COAL CUTTING CYCLE PER 100M PILLAR DEVELOPED PROPOSED BENEFIT DELIVERED BENEFIT WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF INITIAL INSTALLATION - reduction in flitting times – increase in cutting - reduction in flitting times – increase in cutting 5.4 hrs 7.4 hrs - no handling of vent tubes – increase in hours - no handling of vent tubes – increase in hours (based on 0.25 hours saving per 6 metre advance) (based on 0.25 hours saving per 6 metre advance) 10.6 hrs number of increased cutting hours number of increased cutting hours 16 hrs 18 hrs - number of increased cutting shifts based on 8 hours cutting per shift - number of increased cutting shifts based on 8 hours cutting per shift1.92.2 - number of increased metres based on 12 metres per shift - number of increased metres based on 12 metres per shift2327 - extrapolation for 12 months based on 48 weeks per year - extrapolation for 12 months based on 48 weeks per year11221284 - potential increase in longwall block (based on 2.3 metres development advance per every 1 metre of longwall coal) - potential increase in longwall block (based on 2.3 metres development advance per every 1 metre of longwall coal)488558

Panel Advance ImprovementsProposed Benefit No removal, storage and of vent tubes – increase in cutting 17 hours/100m cycle No retrieval and reinstallation of reticulation cables – increase in cutting No retrieval and reinstallation of fan, car and miner cables – increase in cutting Fan and Box relocation 100m = 30min no LHD required – increase in cutting Ability to perform powered maintenance during panel advance – increase in cutting Number of increased cutting hours Number of increased cutting meters based on 1.5MPOH25.50m Extrapolation for 12 months based on 48 weeks per year1224m additional coal drivage Operational gains + Panel advance gains amount to -2520m additional coal drivage per year.

Prior to implementation of monorail system, figures show that there were in excess of 10 medically treated and LTI injuries throughout panel duration of MG22. Statistics have shown that during the development of MG23 there was a total of 3 minor injuries (non medically treated).

Target of 1000 Metres per month – Single Miner C/W Monorail. Single Miner unit c/w monorail equalled Tandem Mining unit production within 3 Months.
