What promise was fulfilled (v4) at this time? (v1:8) 4. Dr. Wiersbe says the book of Acts contains non-repeatable events, transitional happenings, and basic spiritual principles. What examples of each of these do you see in Acts 2?

What was it that amazed and confused all the Jews from the other nations? Which nations were represented? What region did the apostles come from? What did the people hear the apostles speaking about? What is the significance of Peter “standing with the eleven”? 5.How did Peter explain what was happening that day? Why would it have been very unlikely that the apostles were drunk? From which Old Testament prophet did Peter quote? When were the prophecies to be fulfilled? (v17, v20)

6. What proofs did Peter give of Christ's resurrection? From verses 22-24, list three things God had done. What had Peter’s listeners done? What was impossible for Christ to do? Where is Jesus now, according to verses 33-34? 7. How can we use these same proofs when we witness?

What was the response to Peter’s sermon? What did Peter tell the people they must do? What did Peter promise those who would repent? Who did this promise include (v39)? Looking back over Peter’s sermon, why do you think he called that generation perverse? How many people responded and were baptized that day?

What should all of Peter’s listeners know for sure after listening to his sermon? Do you think the promise in V39 extends to you? Why or why not? What lessons do we learn from Peter’s sermon on how we should share the gospel with others?
