Preserving a Pacer for the Future Railcar Association AGM 1 st October 2011 Peter Dickinson (Pacer Pete)

Aim To preserve at least one representative of the Pacer family of railbuses (Classes 142-144) for future generations: i.Preservation and operation of a Pacer-type railbus ii.Establish and maintain a collection of Pacer-related documents and artefacts, as both a historical record and as an archive for enthusiasts and preservationists. iii.Improve public awareness of the Pacer-type railbuses Introduction to the PPS

Who are the Pacer Preservation Society? Relatively new addition to the preservation scene Formed in January 2011 Alan Wilson, the Class 58 Preservation Group’s membership secretary decided to form a dedicated society for the Pacers Such a society had been proposed by enthusiasts prior to this but not actually done.
