1 Preserving a Pacer for the Future Railcar Association AGM 1 st October 2011 Peter Dickinson (Pacer Pete)

2 Aim To preserve at least one representative of the Pacer family of railbuses (Classes 142-144) for future generations: i.Preservation and operation of a Pacer-type railbus ii.Establish and maintain a collection of Pacer-related documents and artefacts, as both a historical record and as an archive for enthusiasts and preservationists. iii.Improve public awareness of the Pacer-type railbuses Introduction to the PPS

3 Who are the Pacer Preservation Society? Relatively new addition to the preservation scene Formed in January 2011 Alan Wilson, the Class 58 Preservation Group’s membership secretary decided to form a dedicated society for the Pacers Such a society had been proposed by enthusiasts prior to this but not actually done.
