History of this project Charity was founded in 1991 as a consequence of a donation campaign of the 1250-year anniversary of Heilbronn 600.000 Euro invested in well projects 80 wells built so far 2 well technicians trained Networks with „Developent Office“ in Kumasi for maintenance and selection of suitable sites

Water means health Worldwide 884 million people are without access to clean drinking water More than 2,6 billion people are without basic sanitary supply 1,5 million children under 5 die due to diseases caused by bad water and sanitary conditions 443 million school days are lost In 2010 the supply of drinking water was declared as a human right by the United Nations

Ghana 4,2 million have no access to clean drinking water More than 20 million people have no access to a basic sanitary supply 72 of 1000 children die until they are 5 years old (in comparison to Germany: 4 of 1000) (Figures 2008, source Worldbank, World Development Indicators database, December 2010 )
