4
The study of how people interact with computer and to what extend computers are or are not developed for successful interaction with human beings.
5
User The way they work together Computer
6
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TERMS “USER INTERFACE (UI)” AND “HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION (HCI)”
7
User Interface (UI) The space where interactions between humans and machines occurs. Generally, their goal is to produce a user interface which makes it easy, efficient, enjoyable(user friendly) to operate a machine in the way which produces the desired result.
8
Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Their goal-understand the factors that determine how people use technology. Develop tools and techniques to enable building suitable systems. Achieve efficient, effective and safe interaction. Put people first.
9
DIFFERENT USER INTERFACE (UI) Includes both software and hardware; For example: characters or objects displayed by software on a personal computer's monitor, input received from users via hardware peripherals such as keyboards and mice, and other user interactions with large- scale computerized systems such as aircraft and power plants. HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION (HCI) The study of interaction between people (users) and computers. It is often regarded as the intersection of computer science, behavioral sciences, design and several other fields of study.

11
WHY HCI IS IMPORTANT??
12
HCI will be the fundamental to making products more successful, safe, useful, functional and in the long run, more pleasure for the user.
13
Information access Interfaces Reducing working memory load Provide alternative interfaces Increase quality of life Increase productivity
14
HCI AND ITS EVOLUTION: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
15
THREE FACTORS WORK TO BOTH LIMIT AND ENABLE HUMAN/COMPUTER INTERFACE DEVELOPMENT: Computing Power The Imagination of Inventors The Market
