3 What virtual community do we belong to? Facebook: all members Memebase : Ashley Mocospace: Venasia and Jaya Twitter: Dominque, Venasia, Kameron, Jaya

4 What is the primary function of blogs? Blogs were designed to connect people from around the world with similar interests. To connect people with family, friends, relatives, etc.

5 How are blogs organized and regulated? Blogs are organized through the personal information that are put into its engine by it's users. People are linked together by their interests and my mutual friends. Blogs are regulated through moderators who go through the website suspending any user obstructing from the rules and helping others who have questions about the site. Blogs are also regulated through it's terms and services as well as it's private policies.

7 Functions and Goals Memebase is a blogging website owned by a corporation by the name of Cheezburger inc. (which is one of the largest humor publisher who has currently put out 26 humor websites, with memebase included.) So naturally their function and goal is to spread the laughs! :)

8 Who are the members and what are their roles? The members of memebase are the normal people that own an account in this website. Many of the users post their own comics and pictures for humor.

9 Formal or Informal? Informal: Many users of this sight put out things and say things they normally wouldn’t say or do in a normal group.

10 Organization and Regulation Memebase organizes it's members through what they post, where they post it at on its categories, and who rates it/ favorites/comments on it. Memebase regulates its member through terms and services, privacy policies and mods.

13 The main purpose The main goals and function of Mocospace it like the same functions of other E-community site like Facebook and MySpace, people use these website to communicate with other people with the same interest, promote music, play games and find people to date The main people that be on Mocospace are mostly boys and girls that are lower then 40

15 Functions and Goals of Facebook The functions of facebook is building relationships. It is also a great way of sharing photos and allowing friends to be tagged in them and comment on them. The goals of facebook is to make friends and also meet new people.

16 Formal or Informal Group? Facebook functions as a formal group. It functions as a formal group because it allows users to contact their friends online and share their thoughts, opinions, status updates, photos, videos, and links to other sites that they found interesting or amusing.

17 How is it Organized? Facebook is organized in a way that connects people with friends and others who work, study, and live around them. The social controls of facebook is Internalisation of norms and vales and External sanctions which can either positive or negative.

18 Facebook.vs. MySpace FacebookMySpace Facebook has a way to upload videos /photos. You can play all kind of games on there and also you can video chat on there. MySpace doesn’t really have games that you can play and also they don’t have video chat. It just has a way for you to upload photos/videos.
