Formal Tender - $ 300 000.00 and above ◦ Advertised for 30days by SPB on behalf of NAC ◦ Preliminary adjudication done by NAC (recommendations) ◦ Final adjudication and tender award by SPB ◦ Notification of Suppliers by SPB ◦ Contract Management by NAC

Special Formal Tender (SFT) -Urgent requirements where time does not permit advertising -Supplies and services of local interests -Suppliers of a proprietary nature or specialist services. -Sole suppliers - None responses to Formal tenders

Weak coordination of the Procurement process – other partners ( Zim orders ) ( prices, varying delivery timelines, Procurements outside the purchase plan Poor specifications Unregistered medicines Capacity of the local industry / delays in the supplying of orders ( stock outs)
