YOUR WORDS WILL BE JUDGED, SO JUDGE YOUR WORDS. CONTINUING JUDGEMENT James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. Not only are we not judges, we should rarely be teachers! Speaking is dangerous and requires much wisdom.

YOUR WORDS WILL BE JUDGED, SO JUDGE YOUR WORDS. TONGUE, HARDEST TO TAME James 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. 1.Like a bit in a horse’s mouth, v. 3 2.Like the rudder of a ship, v. 4-5a 3.Like a spark that starts a forest fire, v. 5b-6 4.Like a venomous animal, v. 7-8

YOUR WORDS WILL BE JUDGED, SO JUDGE YOUR WORDS. PURPOSE OF THE TONGUE James 3:9-10 Would you make a good spring, v. 11? Would you make a good tree, v. 12a? Would you make a good pond, v. 12b?

YOUR WORDS WILL BE JUDGED, SO JUDGE YOUR WORDS. BETTER WORDS 1.Tongues were made for worship, 3:9. 2.Tongues were made for wisdom, 3:13- 18. 3.Tongues were made for song, 5:13. 4.Tongues were made for prayer, 5:15. 5.Tongues were made for confession, 5:16.
