The Biconvex Lens In Our Eye
The shape of the lens in the eye is called a biconvex lens. This type of lens makes light rays converge (come closer together) and inverts them.

The Biconvex Lens In Our Eye
The images we see in our every day lives are inverted by the biconvex lens and projected onto the retina. Thankfully the brain registers these inverted images as if they were right-side up.
