Design 11 Exam CPA Please write all answers in a word document. When you open Word please write your name at the top, title it “Design 11 Exam June 2010” This exam is intended to highlight the work you have created this semester, the concepts you have covered and your developed sense of design. Rules & writing guidelines. Clearly label each question Start each paragraph with a clear, topic sentence Proofread each paragraph Mention & include images related to the topic as proof of your point Be neat and organized in your work

Part One: Fundamentals of Design /20pts Write a 150 words analysis of two of the following images using the elements and principles of design. Copy the image into your word document. Include word count. Here’s how: 1. Give a brief overall description of the image. 2. Descriptively write about the use of the elements and principles in the image. 3. Use the word bank in the next frame. /5pts for meaningful use of elements and principles in your analysis /5pts for depth of writing (clear, descriptive, articulate)

Branding 5pts #1. Many companies spend thousands of dollars developing a ‘brand’. Explain as clearly as possible what ‘branding’ is. (50word minimum) #2. Choose one example of a company that has successfully been branded. Explain your example. (50word minimum) the hippo became a star when she was used in a series of catchy television commercials for Telus. The zoo was paid $10,000 for the ads, along with $25,000 from the sale of Telus Hippo plush toys. Her name is Hazima.
