3 Visual 1.1 Visual E6.1 Activity A disaster has happened. You took care of your family and the people in your neighborhood. Now you are at the ‘mustering” site, the pre-arranged location where you met the other available CERTs. Your group was able to establish contact with the EOC and was duly activated. You are about to receive assignments. The Incident Commander expects your team to report what it has done at the end of the day.

4 Visual 1.2 Visual E6.2 Incoming report: Vehicle fire at 12 Aspinwall Ct. What you found/did: Small engine fire from overheating. You assist in putting out the fire and issue an all clear Incident 1

5 Visual 1.3 Visual E6.3 Incoming report: Building collapse at 20 Lafayette Cir. What you found/did: The building is only slightly damaged. You enter and find two people with immediate injuries. You escort them to the triage/treatment area. Incident 2

6 Visual 1.4 Visual E6.4 Incoming report: Car accident involving two vehicles at the Corner of Glorietta Blvd. and Moraga Way What you found/did: One driver is injured, but mobile. The other driver is dead. You take the injured driver to the triage area. Incident 3

7 Visual 1.5 Visual E6.5 Incoming report: Smoke visible from 1230 Westwood Ct. What you found/did: You see smoke from the kitchen window. Upon entry you find that a pan is left burning on the stove. You extinguish it and secure the property. Incident 4

8 Visual 1.6 Visual E6.6 Incoming report: A van brings eight injured people to 500 St. Mary’s Road. What you found/did: You establish a treatment area. After triage, you have three immediate, 3 delayed, and two who are fine. You transport them to the triage/treatment area. Incident 5

9 Visual 1.7 Visual E6.7 Incoming report: Reddish yellow colored plume visible at 4200 Mt. Diablo Blvd. What you found/did: You secure the area to keep people from entering, and call the seven-digit dispatch number from your cell phone. Incident 6

10 Visual 1.8 Visual E6.8 Incoming report: Report of a building collapse at 95 El Toyonal What you found/did: Building is completely collapsed. You turn off all utilities, and do a vocal search. Do not enter. You hear no responses to your vocal search. Incident 7

11 Visual 1.9 Visual E6.9 Incoming report: Children’s birthday party at 4088 N. Tilden Lane. Report of injuries What you found/did: You find eight children. After triage, you have five minor injuries and three immediate injuries. There are no fires or other hazards. Relocate all to treatment area. Incident 8

12 Visual 1.10 Visual E6.10 Incoming report: Four children found at 4001 N. Tilden Lane. Cannot find their parents. What you found/did: Four children, ages 9 and 10 left the birthday party early. They have no injuries. Escort them to the treatment center for help. Incident 9

13 Visual 1.11 Visual E6.11 Incoming report: Elderly neighbor at 329 Rheem Boulevard (retired firefighter) offers use of her tools/supplies. What you found/did: Neighbor has a garage full of hardware (anything you need or want), equipment, chain saw, etc. BUT, she wants you to document everything you take or use! Incident 10

14 Visual 1.12 Visual E6.12 Incoming report: Cries are heard coming from 3365 Topper Court What you found/did: House is moderately damaged You search and find an adult trapped under a fallen bookcase. You leverage and rescue. Assessment: he has immediate injuries. Action: You escort him to a treatment/triage center. Incident 11
