FLORIDA PLAN GOALS FLDLRS ATEN Regional Centers will assist in locating, providing, creating, distributing, and archiving digital materials. FDLRS ATEN Regional Centers will assist in teaching digital literacy skills to ESE Stakeholders, including teachers, therapists, Assistive Technology providers, students, and families in the State of Florida

CURRENT STATUS 1. Regional Centers are networking through a series of working meetings with Florida agencies to develop a plan for the provision of digital materials through existing resources: FIMCVI, APH, Louis RFB&D Bookshare Market Model Others

CURRENT STATUS 2. Regional Centers are developing Forms & Policies for eligibility, distribution, and archiving of digital materials (under DOE Review).

CURRENT STATUS 3. Regional Centers are developing Digital Literacy Trainings. 4. Regional Centers are developing Demonstration sites for teaching ‘how to’ prepare digital materials.

Regional Centers Demonstration Sites being prepared Regional Centers currently support scanning and digital text through: Kurzweil, Read and Write Gold, SOLO, ADOBE and various free screen readers Regional Centers developing demonstration sites to model Textbook preparation and distribution Scanning/ABBYY PDF/Digital literacy imbedded MP3 files Audacity and others
