HISTORY Before Christ (4000bc to 1AD) 4000 B.C – Stone age begins 2200 B.C – Stonehenge is created by the Bleaker People 750 – iron age, population; 15,000 500 B.C- Celts arrive in Britain Stonehenge is a historical landmark and its origins were unknown for decades until recently. Its uses are still unknown.

Romans, Saxons & Vikings 1 AD To 1066 55 B.C – Julius Caesar tries to invade Britain. Unsuccessful 44 – Julius Caesar is assassinated. AD 43 – Rome invades Britain successfully 50 – City of London is founded
