VCR- Lesson 6 Connecting: The root soci in social means “ being part of a group.” The root mem as in memory means “remembering.” Complete the activity on page 26- Using Root Clues in your notebook with a partner you have 3 minutes.

Good Morning Today we are going to review our vocabulary terms this week by completing the practice exercises on pages 29-30

Then diagram the following sentences as review of helping verbs: Reminder diagramming codes: S.p.n.= subject pronoun H.p.= helping verb. Also remember helping verbs go on the same line as the main verb (or action verb) because the helping verb helps to make the main verb more precise(clear). 1. She will leave. 2. They are walking. 3. We shall sing. 4. I could read. 5. They might run.

Day 5- December 12 th Entry # 26 Good Morning, Today for warm up you need to write down all the helping verbs listed on the side wall then use these to create 5 review sentences and diagram them. After diagramming we will review your VCR lesson-6 answers then go over Eleven and complete Jeremiah's song.

Day 7- January 8 th Entry # 28- Block 2 ONLY Partner Testing Activity: Pair up with a person sitting next to you and complete the review worksheet by underlining the pronouns that tell you what point of view the sentence is written in. You will have 20 minutes. Once your done please create 6 study questions on your own that you will ask your partner by the end of class today or the beginning of class tomorrow before the Unit 2- test.
