God making himself known to us. WE BELIEVE….. There is one God. Catholics are monotheistic. God created nature. God is loving and caring God is active in our lives God wants a relationship with us.

Played a HUGE role in the creation of the Bible. Written by people, INSPIRED by God.

Catholics read the Bible: CONTEXTUALLY This means, we read searching for religious truth, but take in to account that the time period, geographical area, oral tradition and inspired writers all have a significant effect on Scripture. ( Your CONTEXT CLUE, IS CONTEXT!) To read FUNDAMENTALLY is to take the Bible LITERALLY. Catholics do not read scripture from a fundamentalist perspective.
