Permanent inhabitants: ZERO Average rainfall: 20cm per year- this makes it a desert! Sunlight: 24hrs per day in summer (none in winter!)

Your task Your task is to design a shelter to protect the scientists from the cold and keep them alive until help can arrive. When designing your shelter you must think about: how you can minimise heat loss by conduction, convection & radiation Ice will be directly below the tent so your floor must be made of a good insulator Your shelter needs to withstand gale force winds Try to make your shelter out of renewable or sustainable materials
