5 Cyberspace »The online world of computers connected by communication lines. »When you go online, on the Internet, into cyberspace, and are using the information highway, you are doing the same thing.

6 The Internet a communications system that connects computers and computer networks all over the world is telegraphs, telegrams, walkie-talkies, telephones, radios, televisions, newspapers,…all wrapped into one system at a click of the mouse.

10 Allows you to play games - SAFELY….  REMEMBER - never fill out a form or give out your personal information (name, address, phone number, password or the name of your school) on the internet without your parent’s or teacher’s permission! DotsBricks BreakingSpelldown

11 Allows you to communicate - SAFELY… Email, chat, Skype, …etc. SEND messages that you would want to receive - you do not want to hurt anyone’s feelings with your words. NEVER send pictures of yourself to people you don’t know. REMEMBER - do not share your password without your parent’s or teacher’s permission. DO NOT respond to a “user name” that you don’t know. Click, watch and learn….

12 Allows you to find information you need - SAFELY Only go to websites you have permission to visit. Never download pictures, articles, or other information without your parent’s or teacher’s permission. Explore the sites that you are allowed to visit - you may find games, songs, videos, etc… that will be useful & fun.

13 Allows you to download music, videos, and movies - SAFELY. Ask permission before you download your favorite song, video, or movie. Never give credit card information out - only an adult should use that option. Beware of websites that offer “free” music, video, or movies - they often give your computer a virus. A virus will keep your computer from working properly and will send itself to other computers. A trusted adult will help you determine if the site is safe to use. CLICK HERE
