3  The Civil Rights Movement was a very important time in history. It started in 1955 and ended in 1968. The Greensboro Four Sit- Ins were a large part of the Civil Rights Movement. This was a time when blacks sat in restaurants where they were not allowed and refused to leave.

4  Started on February 1 st, 1960 at 10:30 AM  Was still happening in November

5  1 st sit-in at Woolworth’s in Greensboro, North Carolina  Caused sit-ins across the state  By the end of February, sit-ins were happening across the south

8  The Greensboro Four were from North Carolina A&T College  The sit-in forced Woolworth’s to close early  By November 6th there were 1,000 protestors

9  Woolworth’s intergrated all of its stores
