Current events  Name of story or article (headline)  What moral questions is most prominently discussed?  What is a significant statement or quote from the story?  List the statement/quote AND the significance.  Who will be impacted and how?  Publication info: Where did the story come from? When was it published?  Is it local (within our state), national, or international news?  What is your opinion?

3. Journal  Write about a time when you tried to start a new habit or give up a old one.

4. Quiz  Answer the questions on your paper and then put them in the clickers.

5. Headline review  Review ppt from Friday.  Go over headline writing tips handout

7. Putting it all together  Why is it important to be concise in a newspaper article?  Why is it especially important to be concise in the headline and/or lead? Read the article-marking on the text, edit to make the article more concise.
